"Working with Amanda Thompson - State Farm Insurance has probably been the worst service I've ever received in my life from a company/representative of a company that I've done business with, which is now ending, after 15+ years. I was in contact with Courtney Hurley when I initially needed to transfer my insurance from NC to SC after I moved back here. I was informed I would be contacted about this process, but had to eventually reach out to them after not hearing anything on either side from NC or SC. During this time, I was in two accidents that were no fault on my end, and while my vehicle was not in motion. Both insurance claims state this. Upon finally reaching back out to Courtney, I am being informed, with 3 weeks left before my insurance ends, that State Farm is dropping me as a client after never missing a payment, being a customer for 15+ years, and only being in two accidents within the same month, which were no fault on my end..... Thanks a lot for the great communication and customer service! I guess I will never be a customer of State Farm ever again after this insanity. Please do not do business with people who are going to have zero communication in a process, and then drop you as a client with no reasoning, but can only HINT at why they are not renewing your policy."

"Tyler, unfortunately my office has zero decisions with underwriting. Corporate handles all of these matters. There are also different laws/rules that govern the process between NC and SC. We have people move to SC and from SC to other states that policies are affected either for the better or worse. We were unable to offer eligibility in our state regardless of prior State Farm experience. I’m sorry that you were affected with the SC move. As far as Courtney is concerned, she spoke on your behalf as far back as June to underwriting and was told that we were unable to change the outcome. She called your existing NC office in order to obtain your cell number so she could call instead of email. There is no way there was zero communication because I was with her when she tried to reach out. Courtney goes above and beyond with our customers all the time, and this outcome would have been the same in any State Farm office in South Carolina because it’s our policy in this state. "
